A word on this week’s blog:
This week’s blog is a spotlight on the artists who have played at breaking the shackles’ events in the past, taking a look at what they have been doing since. They are listed below in alphabetical order, including what they have been up to since they have played for Breaking the Shackles.
Andrew Blooms: Under his solo project and under Mosaic, he has played many events for Breaking the Shackles. He released his album titled “Never a Waste” this past January and has new music coming on October 9, 2020. The Band Camino: The Band Camino headlined Breaking the Shackles’ spring concert on April 15, 2019. Briston Maroney: Briston was scheduled to play our spring concert this past year, and will be headlining our livestream this coming Friday, October 2nd. CLOUDLAND: Since opening at Breaking the Shackles’ 2019 spring concert, CLOUDLAND has released two singles in 2019, “Over Again” (August) and “Sparrow” (November) and two singles in 2020, “Where we Meet” (March) and “Walking Away” (July). Elijah Johnston: Breaking the Shackles VP of Music Experience Elijah Johnston has graced BTS with his time and energy in more ways than one. He has played events for us in the past, and is playing on our livestream this coming. He released his album titled “Strangers” this past January. Ethansroom: He played a house show for Breaking the Shackles on February 7th this year. His album titled “Ethansroom” released on that day this year and since then he put out a single called “End of the World” on May 22, 2020. He anticipates releasing more music soon, as he recently reached a fundraising goal for a new album via Kickstarter last month. Hotel Fiction: Hotel Fiction has played a couple house shows and events for Breaking the Shackles in the past, and will be playing on the livestream this coming Friday, October 2nd. Jacob Mallow: Jacob played at Breaking the Shackles’ kickoff event at the Pit on August 18, 2018. Since then, he released his EP titled “Seeds” fall 2019 along with a live version in February 2020. He released the first single off his new project titled “Pain” on September 25, 2020. S. Grant Parker: Grant Parker played a house show for Breaking the Shackles on February 7th of this year. He has released singles “Anytime” and “Love My Love” since then, in April and May 2020, respectively.
