Breaking the Shackles Present: The Band Camino

On April 9th Breaking the Shackles and The Band CAMINO are taking over the Georgia Theatre to wave a banner of freedom over modern day slavery. Let’s raise a unified voice for those in bondage. Join us in the #SoundoftheMovement

All proceeds benefit our partner organization, YouthSpark that cares for Atlanta youth who are exploited, trafficked or at risk in Atlanta, GA. Benefits will send children from YouthSpark to WinShape Camps this summer!

YouthSpark is a 501(c)(3) non-profit operating out of the Fulton County Juvenile Court System. Chick-fil-A’s WinShape camps will be partnering with BTS and through this concert will be able to send children from YouthSpark to camp this summer! These preventative programs provide a bright future for our children.

We are more than just individuals. We are a  MOVEMENT. Join us in the #SoundoftheMovement. With your help, we will end modern day slavery in our lifetime.

•• @Breaking the Shackles is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that exists to raise awareness, collect funds, and mobilize students to actively fight modern-day slavery.

Human Trafficking Simulation

University UnionFree The Girls at UGABreaking the Shackles, Inc., andInternational Justice Mission: IJM - UGA Chapter present — Slavery Still Exists: A Human Trafficking Simulation

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month, and to bring awareness to the cause this event is a modern-day human trafficking experience that aims to bring awareness to this injustice.

Participants walk through real-life situations in which they will be placed in the shoes of a modern-day slave. Following the simulation, participants will join in a facilitated discussion to process their experience. They will also have the opportunity to connect with anti-trafficking organizations local and Atlanta based to get involved in the solution.

Our hope is that we create an environment that allows participants to empathize with these issues and join us in the fight against modern-day human trafficking.
